What we publish

PetsLately publishes practical guides and free tools that help cat guardians organize observations and records. We write for the United States audience in plain English.

We do not publish diagnosis tools, symptom checkers, medication dosing calculators, breed-weight lookup pages, clinic rankings, or 'near me' pages.

How content is made

Every guide starts from a real caregiver task. Each page states its purpose and its limits up front, cites the references it relies on, and shows when it was last checked and when it will be reviewed again.

Health-related pages follow the risk-based process described in our Medical Review Policy. Source checks and dated project-owner approval may authorize publication without veterinary review, but the page must say “Not medically reviewed” prominently. Veterinary review remains a separate, higher level of verification and is never implied.

Sources

We cite region- and year-specific references from recognized veterinary organizations and list them on our Sources page with the dates we last checked them.

Corrections

We fix mistakes in the open. Corrections are logged on the affected page with a date and a summary of what changed. See how to report one on our Corrections page.

No hidden incentives

PetsLately currently shows no advertising and no affiliate links. If that changes, any page with a commercial relationship will say so clearly at the top.
