Give each small observation its place

Cat Symptom Timeline

Log what you observe with dates and times. PetsLately lines it up into a clear timeline — it never turns your notes into a diagnosis or risk level.

  • No risk scoring
  • Not medically reviewed

Not medically reviewed

No veterinarian has reviewed or endorsed this tool. It organizes the observations you enter and never diagnoses, assigns urgency or recommends treatment. What it does — and never does — is stated below.

What this tool does

Jot down observations with a date, time and type, and they line up newest-first into a timeline you can print, copy, or download for your vet. Types only organize your notes — they never map to diseases, and nothing you enter is scored or rated.

PetsLately is a consumer record-keeping and educational tool, not a veterinary clinic, hospital, telemedicine, diagnostic, or emergency service. It does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, prescriptions, or medication dosing. Using PetsLately does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Contact a licensed veterinarian for medical advice. If your cat may be in immediate danger, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service now.

Loading your timeline…

Keep this timeline going

This timeline is complete on its own. You can also download a plain-text .catcare file, review it in the PetsLately iPhone app, and choose what to import.

Download the file from the workspace above — everything in it stays on your device.

What is a .catcare file?

A .catcare file holds the health details you entered here — in plain text. Compatible files exported by this website can be imported into the PetsLately iPhone app.

  • Stays on your device — nothing is uploaded.
  • Optional — every tool works fully without it.
  • Review the file in the app and choose what you want to import.

It is not a complete app backup. Keep a PDF, CSV, printout, or copied text when you also want a human-readable copy.

How to use this timeline

  1. Add an observation when something happens — date, time and type are enough; everything else is optional.
  2. Say how much in your own words if it helps. It’s kept word-for-word and never scored.
  3. Watch entries line up newest-first — edit or delete any of them, anytime.
  4. Print, copy, or download the timeline for your vet. Entries stay in this browser unless you export or save them yourself.

A missing count stays blank — it’s never shown as zero, on screen, in print, or in any file.

  • Does not provide a diagnosis, risk level, or severity score.
  • Times are displayed in your local timezone exactly as entered.
  • A missing count is never shown as zero.

Bringing these notes to an appointment? A little prep goes a long way.
